We took Owen to his first Cubs game on Sunday. He had a blast. Fittingly the Cubbies lost. I think I better raise him as a Nats fan.

I decided after Game 6 in the 2003Playoffs (aka the "Bartman" game) that I wouldn't put pressure on my kids to like the Cubs. I just couldn't stand to see my kids go through the same heartbreak all of us diehards have endured. The Nationals haven't disappointed yet, and they have a "Zimmerman" that plays for them, so no hard feelings, my Godson.
