He has Driven

One of the best things about Owen attending St. Mary's, is that he's only 90 minutes away, which means he can easily come home for important things, like Allen's birthday, Opening Day, and Easter. As something as an homage to all three, Owen had scheduled St. Mary's Club Softball practice for midday on Holy Saturday, which meant that Allen got to play softball with a bunch of college kids before driving Owen back to DC for 24 hours of family fun. Once there, we ordered take-out and had a mandatory family game night – Munchkin Edition – which ended epically when Noa took down Owen by playing the Wand of Dousing to find the Divine Intervention card allowing all clerics to go up a level giving the joint win to Noa and Allen (who really was just along for the ride, but Noa was feeling nice).

The next morning we had a lovely family brunch before heading up to Mom Mom and Grandpa Don's for Easter dinner with special guests Nancy and Danny. Sharon made an impressive spread including salmon, couscous, roasted carrots, salad, and a delicious white chocolate cake. We even got to end the night with a round of marbles with Sharon emerging victorious (despite all of Nancy's efforts to destroy her).

After saying our farewells, we headed home where Allen quickly packed up his car and then drove the 90 minutes back to St. Marys for his last two weeks of his freshman year of college.
